the DREAM! do you have it in you??

GOAL! (2006) 4/8 Maybe Sports / Movie Novelization Rs.68 (Bookchor.com) Robert Rigby [4.30/424 ratings Goodreads]

Review #423 (Book Review #123) :

8 days and completed one more book, this time its GOAL (1st one) and its a novelization of famous movie by the same name, written by Robert Rigby. Earlier as well I’ve read novelizations, this adds up to the list.

Its a story of a dreamer and illegal immigrant of US, a Mexican kid Santiago Munez and his journey from rags to riches, to become a professional footballer at Newcastle United. He very much liked playing football, but his father hates his dream and wanted him to work with him.

The language is as simple as it gets, hence anybody can read it. Story-wise, quite predictable and most of these story has a same feel and direction. Movie is a hit and book is true to the core of the movie, so nothing more to cheer for those who have seen the movie itself. I have read aomw other novelizations also but they’re still readable unlike this one. I rate 4/8. Can read if you want to read a sports story.
